A very rare and very early Bernd & Hilla Becher postcard for a show at Sonnabend Gallery less than 1 year after their first solo exhibition.

This example is truly special as it is postmarked and travelled through the mail from Paris to Germany in 1973.

The postcard depicts an example of their typographical documentation of industrial structures, which they called Anonymous Sculpture, referring to disappearing architectural relics such as coal mines, steel mills, water towers, grain silos, and gas tanks. This deadpan style of documentation changed photography.

Minor nick at top. Would display very nicely though.
