Invitations: March 2-12
On March 2-12, we will be showing a selection of flyer works created in the late-1970s through to the mid-1980s by influential American artist Raymond Pettibon. These flyers were created to promote shows by hardcore bands, such as Black Flag, Dead Kennedys, Minutemen, Circle Jerks, etc.
At times satirical, hilarious, or even directly provocative of the Los Angeles Police Department; these works show the artist’s iconic illustration style in perhaps its most direct form.
Accompanying these flyer works, there will be a selection of books documenting the of fashion in subcultures, early street photography, art, design, and more. The usual.
