Ray Johnson a favourite here at Wrong Answer. An incredibly important and prolific conceptual artist, he is most famous for his collage work and for pioneering mail art with his New York Correspondence School.

His label of “New York’s most famous unknown artist” is still apt as he is still pretty slept on when considering the canon of the NYC art scene.

His xeroxed pieces are readily available, but original collages are scarce and usually go for high prices at auction.

This collage is smaller, but would look amazing framed.

This is a great, original work by an important 20th Century artist.
