Annina Nosei Gallery hosted Basquiat’s first American solo show in 1982. She also (famously) had him use the basement of her gallery as a studio to produce work. Basquiat would later leave her gallery to be represented by Bruno Bischofberger.

This book is an important and rare document of Basquiat’s early career and the NYC art scene. It was published as a “testimony” of the work shown at Annina Nosei.
